Near its shop on the left bank, Hermès opened a temporary shop dedicated to women footwear, located 8 rue de Sèvres, Paris 6ème.
The shop will be opened until July 19, 2012. After that day, work will take place to welcome a new shop of the group, that of the Chinese brand Shang Xia (porcelain, silk, weaving…).
Fall/Winter Sneak preview
In this space with « Hermès orange » walls is presented the Spring/Summer collection 2012 for women footwear, along with a sneak preview of the Fall/Winter collection 2012. A set designed by Pierre Hardy.
This summer, you will be able to opt for colourful sandals, with snakeskin, python, crocodile, or goat (from 410 to 1 500 euros).
If you want to anticipate the beginning of the school year, you will notably find the Hermès boots, including leg straps.
A scenography around time
To decorate this new shop, Hermès recruited the interior architect Stéphane Parmentier. The space is uncluttered, enlightened by neons and animated by a video dedicated to the elegant gait of Hermès women.
Like in its flagship shop, one can notice the presence of giant round hourglasses, that drop a brightly coloured sand by turning on themselves. The « time ahead of you » symbol dear to Hermès.
