Valmont temporary shop at the Hotel Le Meurice

After a first edition last December, the cosmetic brand Valmont reopened the doors of its temporary shop at the hôtel Le Meurice.

The Swiss brand, specialised in anti-aging facial cosmetics, chose the hôtel Le Meurice to show its range. The treatments will be provided in rooms (the spa being closed for renovation up until Autumn 2012). Personalised advices will guide you through the flagship products of the brand : the collagen mask « Regenerating Mask Treatment », the fragrance « L’élixir des glacier » (231 euros) and the new selection of scents that accompanies it, or the « Renewing Pack », available in exclusive edition for 142 euros.

“The Hotel of Kings”

First located at the 223, rue Saint-Honoré, Le Meurice was considered as the favourite Parisian hotel of English travellers, offering a range of services never seen yet. In 1835, the hotel moved to its current address, rue de Rivoli, a stone’s throw from the Tuileries and luxury shops from the heart of Paris. It then became “the Hotel of Kings”, hosting among others the King of Spain Alphonse XIII, Kings of Europe, the Shah of Persia … Businessmen like the Rockfellers also stayed at the Meurice, as well as the President Roosevelt, and artists such as Salvator Dali or the Franco-American billionaire Florence Gould, who held there the last literary salons of the capital.

The three great waves of renovations of 1905, 1947 and 1998, added to newer works, contributed to the modernisation of the hotel, integrating the latest technologies.
